5 day tour with three nights in the country side

We are now introducing a new 5 day tour designed for those who would like to get out of the everyday´s noice and stress and relax in the nature of Iceland.
1. Day: Arrival day to Keflavík International Airport. A Fly Bus transit to your hotel in Reykjavik. Rest of the day and evening free.

2. Day: Pickup at 09.00 o´clock from your hotel. A visit to the Blue Lagoon SPA on Reykjanes peninsula in the morning. Then a short sightseeing tour around Reykjavik city before heading to the National Park of Thingvellir, the sight of Icelands´s open-air ancient National Assembly, the Althing. This area is geologically fascinating with countless fissures and ravines bearing witness to the forces at work below the earth´s surface. Here the North American and Euroacian tectonic plates converge. Continue to Skalholt Cathedral, the home of the bishop of Iceland through the decades. We then continue to our accommodation for a nice meal, hot tub and a good rest.

3. Day: Our first visit will be to Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where one can walk dry footed behind the pouring water, then Skogar village and visit not only the spectacular waterfall but walk through the folk museum providing an insight into Icelands´s past times. At the edge of glacier Myrdalsjokull we are in for an interesting walk up on the glacier. Back to the same overnight.

4. Day: Today we shall be visiting the valley of Thjorsá, with its canyons, waterfalls, ancient farm Stong and in the afternoon have optional chance to try out the Icelandic horse for a short ride in the neighbourhood of our accommodation. Same overnight.

5. Day: After breakfast we will pay a visit to greenhouses, country church and arrive to the best know waterfall in Iceland, Gullfoss. After feeling the mighty power of the water so close to the fall we continue to Geysir hot springs to watch the spouting Strokkur, Geysirs little brother, erupt with 6-8 minutes interwals. On our way back to Reykjavik we shall visit Kerið crater and arrive in the city in time for those who are interested in taking a further look at galleries, fashion shops or handycraft boutiques. Evening free, overnight at your first hotel.
